Raymond John Glazer, Sr., 81, of Vineland, NJ passed away at Inspira Medical Center on Sunday, April 30th, 2017.
Ray was born in Chicago on January 23rd, 1936 to John S. Glazer, Jr. and Catherine F. Mombleau. He was in the US Army Signal Corps from 1958 to 1961, where he learned computer programming, and went on to become a senior systems analyst for many private and government contractors including NASCODE, Raytheon, Aviation Technology Systems, and others, before finally retiring from a position at the William J. Hughes Technical Center.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. His vast strength and knowledge touched so many; his infinite patience, deep caring and sharp wit brought light and joy to all who knew him. The world was a better place for him having been a part of it.
He was predeceased by his father, sister Cathy Armato, sister Jeanette Zavakos, and his mother.
Ray is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Fiolka; his four children, Raymond Glazer Jr. and husband Peter Jackson, of Audubon; Michelle and husband Larry Zieminski, of Vineland; Melissa Glazer, of Vineland; and Marlene and husband Andrew Orr, of Beverly; his seven grandchildren, Joseph Zieminski, Kirsten Zieminski, Nicholas Zieminski, Zachary Zieminski, Alicia Zieminski, Kaitlyn Orr and Emily Orr; and three great grandchildren, Aiden, Christian and Madigan. He is also survived by seven brothers and sisters in Illinois: Joan Palumbo, Sharon Verbeeck, Linda Leszek, Diane Macaluso, John and wife Sue Glazer, Robert Glazer, Thomas and wife Kaye Glazer, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave, Vineland, NJ on Friday, May 12th from 11 am to 1 pm with a service at 12:30 pm.
