Richard Martin Brennan "Rich" of Vineland died Friday, February 10, 2012 at the South Jersey Hospice Care in Bridgeton after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family to the end. Rich was predeceased by his Father, Richard Brennan and his beloved mother, the late Regina" Jeannie" Brennan Radcliffe and his sister Kathleen "Kitt" Brennan. Born in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania on August 21, 1949, he moved to Southern New Jersey with his family at a very young age and spent the great majority of his life in Vineland. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Vineland, attended Fairleigh Dickenson University and served in the US Army. For the last 35 years of his career Richard was involved in the transportation industry. He was a partner in two companies servicing both domestic and international markets during that time. He also worked for National Freight and Safeway Freezers in Vineland before encountering health issues. Rich was an avid sports car enthusiast and had a very keen interest in American Indian art and collectibles. He loved music, history and time out in nature camping and sightseeing. Richard is survived by one brother, Dean "Sparky' Brennan and his wife Michele of Lutz, Florida, two sisters, Molly Dickel and her husband Robert "Bob" Dickel of Vineland and Megan Brennan of Vineland. Two nephews, Damien Mansell of Vineland and John Brennan of Lutz, Florida and one niece, Kathleen Brennan of Piscataway, New Jersey. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 6pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 So. Lincoln Ave, Vineland. A small reception will take place after the service at the Maplewood Restaurant on Delsea Drive in Vineland for friends and family. Burial services will be private. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to South Jersey Healthcare Hospice Care PO Box # 160 Bridgeton, New Jersey.
