Richard Fanucci, Sr., 74 of Millville, died Friday, February 17, 2012 at the SJ Regional Medical Center, after an extended illness. Born in Landisville, NJ, he was a lifelong resident of the Vineland area. Richard owned and operated Fanucci Allstate Insurance Agengy, Vineland for over 40 years. He was a million dollar round table and four diamond agent. Richard was honored by the Honor Society several times by Allstate. He was a port authority police officer on the Walt Whitman Bridge for several years and also worked as a tile setter. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Vineland Chamber of Commerce and past member of the Jaycees. He enjoyed hunting, and was a founding member of the Malaga Bear Cat Gun Club, for over 60 years. He also enjoyed traveling, wine making and music, especially Italian music. Richard was an excellent cook and enjoyed walking his beloved dog, Mitzi. He was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan and loved going to his beach house in Ocean City and walking along the beach. The most important thing in his life was his family. He is predeceased by his parents, Adam and Phylis (Drogo) Fanucci, twin grandchildren, Santino and Antonio Fanucci. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Aggie (Tarquinio) Fanucci of Millville 2 sons: Richard Fanucci, Jr of Vineland Anthony Fanucci and companion Stacey of Vineland 2 daughters: Rachele D'Ippolito and husband Michael of Vineland Tiffany Santo and husband Giuseppe of Vineland 5 grandchildren: Gabrielle, Francesca, and Isabella Fanucci Vincenzo Fanucci, and soon to be here, Matteo Richard Santo 1 brother: Robert Fanucci and wife Barbara of Vineland 2 nephews: Robert Fanucci, Jr. and wife Diane David Fanucci and wife Lianne 5 great nieces, 1 great nephew and many cousins A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10am at Padre Pio Parish, Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Dante Avenue Vineland. Entombment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends will be received Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland and again on Wednesday morning 8:30am to 9:45am at the CHURCH.
