Joseph Peter Kornsey, 94 of Mays Landing, NJ went home peacefully to Heaven on March 30. He was surrounded by his loving children. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years, Rita Palmer and his son, Joseph David (Dorothy Galluci). He leaves behind to carry on his legacy his 3 children; Theresa L. Ellis (Craig), Karl E. (Donna Lombardi), and Rita M. Falkinburg (Theodore). He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren who adored him greatly. Joe lived a wonderful life. One of 13 children, he was born and raised in South Philadelphia where he enjoyed singing in night clubs in his younger years. He worked hard to care for his mother and sisters. After he was married, he became employed with the Pennsylvania railroad (Conrail) as a Freight Conductor where he faithfully worked for 42 years. Joe and his young family moved to Maple Shade, NJ where he later retired in 1981. He was recognized for his outstanding work ethic and loyalty to the railroad. During his retirement Joe and his wife bought a home in Villas, Cape May County, NJ where he and his family created many years of wonderful memories together. He passed down to his family a great love for the "Seashore". Joe and his wife later moved to The Glenn at Masons Creek in Hainesport, NJ and then Joe enjoyed the remaining years of his life at The Oaks of Weymouth in Mays Landing, NJ. Joe can be remembered as a strong, faithful, loyal and loving man who gave his everything to those he loved and all he did. Memorial services to celebrate Joe's life will be held on Saturday, April 5th at 10am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Forklanding Road in Maple Shade, NJ. Burial of cremains will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, 1300 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
