Israel Rivera Sr., 83 of Vineland, NJ went home to be with the Lord on July 6, 2014. He was born in Mayaguez, PR on February 20, 1931.
He worked at Harrah's Casino for 13 years before he retired to enjoy his favorite sport, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a hard worker, loved to laugh and would do whatever he could to help someone in need. He will be missed but never forgotten.
He is survived by Elena Bermudez-Rivera, his loving wife of 59 years, his children; Israel Jr. (Nancy), Margarita (Nelson), Benjamin (Violet), Abel (Gladys), Eliud (Amy), Elias (Myra), Daniel David (Veronica), 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-mother, Adela, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. He was predeceased by his parents, Serafin and Francisca Rivera, 2 sisters, Lydia and Vicky, his daughter, Abigail and his grandson, Daniel Adrian.
Funeral arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Funeral services and burial will be private for the family.
