Jacob J. "Jake" Pigott, 67, of Vineland, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. He was the beloved husband for 45 years of Marie "Berni" Pigott (nee Schiavo). He was born in Swedesboro, NJ; and was the son of the late Jacob Pigott and grandson of the late Joseph and Ethel Pigott. Jake served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era with an Honorable Discharge. He was a member of the Vineland Masonic Lodge #69 F&A Masons of New Jersey and the American Legion. He enjoyed the outdoors and going to Stone Harbor; was an avid runner, enjoyed cycling and yoga and was an excellent cook. He was employed by Marandino Construction then went on to work as a butcher at the Acme Market in Vineland for 25 years before his retirement. Jake is survived by his daughter, Gigi Pigott and her companion John Landis, granddaughter, Taylor Landis and grandson, Zachary Landis of Vineland; brother George (Mary) Pigott and sister Debbie (Richard) Hoffman and special cousins Nicky and Barb Bogan. He is also survived by brothers- in-law and sisters-in-law Gerald and Gloria Noto (nee Schiavo), and "Gus" and Judy Schiavo (nee Zucca) and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Rudy Pigott; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gus and Josephine Schiavo and nephew Jeffrey Noto. Funeral services are private. Arrangements are by DeMARCO- LUISI FUNERAL HOME, 2755 Lincoln Avenue, Vineland.
