Monico Diaz-Vazquez, 90 of Vineland, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014 at home. Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico on June 15, 1924 and was a resident of Vineland for 56 years.
He was retired from Progresso Foods after being employed for 38 years.
Monico leaves behind 5 daughters; Irene Morales, Candi Diaz, Ida Diaz, Evelyn Mancini and Marilyn Diaz, 2 sons; Carmelo and Angelo Diaz, 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Alejita Delgado and Gladys Diaz, 1 brother; Primitivo Diaz.
Monico was a devoted husband, father and was a member of the Spanish Catholic Church. He loved to sing and dance as a way of welcoming you into his home with open arms. We will miss him and all of his wisdom.
He is predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Estanisla Diaz and a son Johnny Diaz.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Monico will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 12noon to 2pm at the funeral home.
