Iluminada "Lucy" Ortiz, 76 of Vineland, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland, with her husband by her side. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, Lucy was a resident of Vineland since 1970.
She was a seamstress for Crown Clothing Company in Vineland and enjoyed cooking, gardening and being with her family.
She is predeceased by her brother, Antonio Vargas and 2 sisters, Hilda and Ruth Maldonado.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jose Ortiz of Vineland 2 sons: Jose, Jr. and David Ortiz both of Vineland 1 daughter: Diane Rivera and her husband Luis of TN. 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren
Lucy was very well loved by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday at 10am at Divine Mercy Parish, St. Francis of Assisi Church, Vineland. Lucy will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Sunday evening from 6pm to 8pm at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland and again on Monday morning at the CHURCH from 9am to 9:45am.
