Arthur W. Andersen, 93 of Ridge Manor, Florida, formerly of Vineland, NJ., passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014. Arthur was born in New York City, NY and resided in Vineland most of his life. He served in the United States Army for 5 years during WWII and also served in the New Jersey National Guard for 25 years and retired as a Major in the 50th Armored Division 1st Brigade. Arthur was a correctional captain for Bayside State Prison in Leesburg for 27 years. He was a member of the Civil Service Club and was a life member of the PBA. He enjoyed skiing, golfing, dancing and in his earlier years, hiking. Arthur is predeceased by 2 sons; Craig and Steve Andersen, his first wife, Ann (Cooke) Andersen, 2 brothers, Edward and Bill Andersen and his parents, Arthur and Johanna (Rahika) Andersen. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, June I. (Underwood) Andersen 1 son, Robert Saunders 2 daughters, Pamela J. Nolen and Valerie Andersen 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren 2 brothers, Allan and James Andersen 2 sisters, Harriet Sauders and Joan Totoro Funeral arrangements are private. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
