Catherine Ruth Giglio (nee Rudderow), 84, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Cedarville, NJ, Catherine moved to Vineland as a young woman before marrying S. Edward Giglio in 1951. Catherine was a passionate ballroom dancer and along with her husband taught dancing in the 1960’s and 1970’s. She loved nature and going to the beach in southwestern Florida and the southern bays of NJ. She enjoyed flower gardening and was an avid reader of mystery novels. She made all family occasions memorable with her exceptional cooking, baking, and decorating. Catherine was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed the company of her children and 2 little dogs. Catherine is survived by her husband of 63 years Ed Giglio; children; Paula and husband Jim Gruccio, David E. and wife Michele Giglio, and Lynne M Giglio and her beloved little dogs, Kitty and Nando. She is also survived by a special nephew, Glenn Rudderow, Donations in memory of Catherine may be made to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and The Lustgarten Foundation (for pancreatic cancer research). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 7:30pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ. Burial will be private. Family and friends will be received on Friday evening from 5pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
