Please share a memory of Joseph to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Joseph A. Rambone Sr., 87, lifelong resident of Newfield, New Jersey, passed away on March 6, 2015, after an extended illness. He leaves behind his loving wife, Rosemarie (Belfi) of 63 years, three sons; Joseph Jr. and his wife, Marie (Voll), Thomas and his wife, Cynthia (Marr), James and his wife, Chrissy (Guglielmi), and one daughter, Donna Bosco and her husband, Tom. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, John Rambone, mother, Natalie, and brothers, Anthony and John. A 1947 graduate of Clayton High School, Joseph was inducted into its Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006 for playing football. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in July 1951. He was an original charter member of the Malaga Bear-Cat Gun Club in the early 1950s and served as its president for several years. He was a professional truck driver for various local companies and began his own used car dealership in 1973. He retired from truck driving in his early sixties. Although no one enjoyed being an outdoorsman more than Joseph, he most loved spending time with his family—cooking, attending his grandchildren's events, and telling stories. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:30am at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Rose of Lima Church, Newfield. Joseph will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Thursday morning from 9am to 11am at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (Cancer.org), 1851 Old Cuthbert Road Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
