Bernardino Santiago of Vineland and better known as Benny, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. He was born in Camuy, Puerto Rico on May 20, 1939. He came to the United States at the age of 18 and lived the majority of his life in Vineland. He was employed at DeRossi and Son's as a shipping clerk and retired from there. He went back to Puerto Rico and lived there from 1985 to 2002 and relocated back to Vineland, New Jersey.
He is survived by his wife, Ana C. Santiago; his daughter, Lorraine Gonzalez from Vineland and son, Elvin Gonzalez from Houston Texas. He had three grandchildren; Noelia, Melissa and Chad and 7 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind 6 sisters that live in Puerto Rico and 5 brothers whom also reside in Puerto Rico and Willie Santiago who resides in Vineland. Numerous nieces and nephews, sister in-laws and brother in-laws.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Benny will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday evening from 6pm to 8pm and again on Wednesday morning from 10am to 11am at the funeral home.
