Obituary of Reacelyn Quinn

Please share a memory of Reacelyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Reacelyn Coffin Quinn passed away peacefully in her home on November 5th, 2015. Reacelyn was born on December 9th 1944 in Vineland, NJ. She attended the Kingman School – then a two room, red brick building with a school bell, and Central, Reber and Memorial Schools. She graduated from Vineland High School in 1962. Reacelyn received a certificate from Everett's School of Floral Design in 1977, and earned an associate's degree in Sociology from Salem Community College in 1992. As a child Reacelyn, known affectionately as "Shortie," earned 50 cents helping ladies across the street, and picked raspberries and strawberries to sell in front of her house on West Avenue. With her grandmother, Olive Coffin, she picked blueberries but had to be sneaky because she was too young for working papers. As a young adult she worked in the cafeterias of Newcomb Hospital and Newbury's, and for a very short time at De Rossi & Son sewing factory. Other jobs include Guarantee Bank, Acme, and managing the carwashes of her first husband, Francis Russo. In the mid 70's she realised her great passion working at Garden State Florist, owned by the Cavagnaro family. She moved to Pennsville, NJ with her then husband James Brago, Jr., and worked at Walton's Florist in 1980. She married Harry Quinn in 1982 and was the Pennsville Deputy Court Administrator from 1993 – '95. From 1996 – '99 she worked alongside her son Dean Anthony Russo, as the office manager of his bar and restaurant Gator's, in Newcastle Delaware. She also supported Harry with his electrical contracting business in the office and in the field. In 2013 she and Harry moved to their dream home in Pittsgrove, NJ, near her family. She was excited to return to her roots and the magical wooded surroundings of her home. Reacelyn enjoyed many hobbies with Harry Quinn, including gardening, collecting glass and attending car shows with their son Dean's maroon '68 Mustang Fastback. She was an excellent cook and gift giver and delighted in being a mother to her children, Lisa Marie and Dean Anthony, and a grandmother to Leo Russo. She and Harry took wonderful care of Dean's Australian Cattle Dog, Angel, who brings much joy in to all our lives. She is survived by husband Harry Quinn, daughter Lisa Marie Russo, grandson Leo Maxwell Munden Russo, son-in-law Marc Munden, former step son Jimmy Brago, sister Ann Gribble, brother-in-law James Gribble, cousin Grace Bianco and husband Dom, and many nieces, nephews and second cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Dean Anthony Russo and her sister, Bonnie Coffin Simonoff. Reacelyn will be greatly missed by her friends and family. A memorial service will be held for Reacelyn on Saturday November 14th at the First United Methodist Church on 700 East Landis Avenue (corner of 7th & Landis) in Vineland, NJ. Services begin at 3PM. Flowers, donations to the Salem County Humane Society: www.salemcountyhumanesociety.org or the First United Methodist Church, are welcome. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S.
