Obituary of Doris N. Grilli

Doris (Vannini) Grilli, 89, of Vineland, passed away at Inspira Medical Center on Tuesday, November 24, 2015. Born in Vineland, she graduated from Vineland High School in 1944. She worked with her family on Vannini Farms, and for 15 years, she was "Aunt Doris" to the students at The Children's House Montessori School of Vineland. Doris was also a paraprofessional in Special Education classes in the Vineland Public School system until her retirement at age 78. Doris enjoyed cooking for family and friends, playing cards, going to the theatre and gardening. She took great pride in her home. She was a long time member of St. Francis of Assisi now Divine Mercy Parish. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Louis, her parents, Alfonso and Maria (Sasdelli) Vannini, sisters, Violet and Bruna Vannini, Tina (Gene) Venturi, brothers, Deno (Irene), Mario (Jean), Louis (Eva) and John (Nancy) Vannini, all of Vineland. She will be lovingly remembered by her survivors, her son, Joseph (Karen), granddaughters Lauren Bishop and Kristin Grilli, great grandsons, Connor and Cameron Bishop, many nieces, great nieces and great-great nieces, nephews, great nephews and great-great nephews. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, November 30, at 10:30am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Isidore's Church, 1655 Magnolia Road, with viewing from 9:00 a.m.-10:15 a.m. at the CHURCH. Doris will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or any charity of your choice in memory of Doris.
