Obituary of Wilfredo Maldonado

Wilfredo "Freddy" Maldonado, 54 of Landisville, NJ, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016, peacefully at his daughter's home surrounded by family and friends. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico on September 23, 1961 to Ana and Francisco Maldonado. Freddy worked for Battelini's Garage for 22 years in Landisville, NJ as a mechanic. He enjoyed watching football, especially his favorite team, the Washington Redskins, grilling, spending time with family, playing dominoes, horseshoes and billiards. He also enjoyed farming and caring for his farm animals. Freddy really loved spending time with his children and grandson, Jayden Maldonado. One of his passions was the joy of driving his 1986 corvette. Freddy will always be remembered as the family "Grill Master", especially for his one of a kind BBQ Porkchops. He was loved by all who knew him and was a caring man with a loving heart. His smile and laughter was contagious wherever he would be. He is predeceased by his father, Francisco Maldonado Sr, his sisters; Irma and Luz Mary Maldonado and brothers; Francisco, Jr and Jorge Maldonado and Angel Centeno. Freddy is survived by his mother, Ana Maldonado; his daughter, Crystal Maldonado and her partner Tanica Maldonado; son, Avery Avila; stepdaughter, Carrie Langlois; his grandchildren, Jayden Maldonado, Aaliyah Torres, Chasity and Miley Cross all of Vineland; sisters, Josefina "Tita" Reyes and husband Wilfredo of Hammonton, Nereida Santiago and husband Juan of Miami, Fl., Norma Hernandez and husband Tomas of Camden, Annie Maldonado and partner Abel Gonzalez; brothers, Tomas Maldonado, Victor Maldonado, Jose Nieves, Efrain "Tito" Maldonado and wife Melinda all of Vineland; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and godson, Andrew J Maldonado of Vineland. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Freddy will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Monday evening from 6pm to 8pm and again on Tuesday morning from 9am to 11am at the funeral home.
