David M. Gallo, Sr., age 86 of Vineland passed away at home on Sunday, March 20, 2016. Born on October 13, 1929 in Staten Island, NY as a young boy he and his family moved to Vineland where he resided his entire life. An avid antique car, truck and military collector, Dave had spent his retirement from the Operating Engineers Local 825, as a heavy equipment mechanic, doing what he loved, restoring his collection with patience and pride. He belonged to several car and truck clubs and has been recognized for his award winning restorations. He is predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Catherine (Casano) Gallo and 4 brothers; Tony, Salvatore, Frank and Ralph Gallo. Dave is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Mary (Trionfo) Gallo, their children; David, Jr (Patti), Salvatore, Robert (Cheryl) and Marie (Mike) and their respective families including 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; a brother Joseph, a sister Antoinette (Pantelione) and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. David will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday from 9am to 11am at the funeral home.
