Obituary of Felicita Cruz

Felicita (Calderon) Cruz, age 77 of Vineland, passed peacefully on Sunday evening, April 24, 2016. Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico to the late Lucas Calderon and Juanita Andujar. She moved to Vineland in 1945, where she resided for 61 years. Ms. Cruz was a garment worker for 35 years at De Rossi & Son, Co., and retired after spending 25 years as a Nurse's aide. She was a founding member of the Vineland Spanish Pentecostal Church, Assembly of God. Her passion was gardening, being a caregiver to multiple generations of friends and family, collecting and sharing family memorabilia, and opening her home to friends and family for a meal and a cup of coffee. Her life will continue to be celebrated by her children: Sonia and Anthony Justiniano, Marilyn and Walter Palacios and Joel H. and Sandy Cruz. Her grandchildren: Nicolas Justiniano, Isabella and Lucas Cruz. Her great grandson: Jordan Justiniano. Her siblings: Roberto, Carmen, Carlos, Paula, Salvador, Louisa, Ismael, Santos, Christina, Anna, Gilberto, Maridalia, Julio, Benjamin, Efraim, Gloria, Alipio, Andres, Hayde, Juanita, Ulises, Ruben, Marisol, Rafael and Louisa. A viewing will be held for family and friends on Wednesday, April 27, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 South Lincoln Avenue, Vineland. Funeral services and viewing will be held on Thursday, April 28, from 9-11 a.m. at the Vineland Spanish Pentecostal Church, Assembly of God, 512 South Third Street, Vineland. Felicita will be laid to rest at Siloam Cemetery, 550 North Valley Avenue, Vineland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (chop.edu) in memory of Nicole Justiniano.
