Efrain Ismael Acosta Sr., also known as Maelo, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July31st, 2016. Maelo was born on August 9th, 1949 in Angeles de Utuado, PR to the late Milagros Caraballo and Gumercindo Acosta. He was a very dedicated family oriented man who cared deeply for his loved ones and served God wholeheartedly. His loyalty extended to his employment in which he served as plant manager at B&B Poultry in Vineland for many years until his retirement. Maelo was a true servant, very humble at heart and very passionate. He was an avid team player and outdoorsman who absolutely enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting. Above all, Maelo was a hospitable man. He loved gathering with friends and family and knew how to prepare a feast on any occasion. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Moises Acosta and Gumercindo Acosta Jr. He is survived by his wife, Norma Acosta; his children, Efrain Acosta Jr., Richard Acosta, Edgar Acosta, Madeline Acosta Bernal and Eddie Roman Jr. Efrain Ismael Acosta was very loved and respected by all. He will forever live in our hearts. All are welcome to come and celebrate his life on Friday at 11am at the Vineland Spanish Pentecostal Church, Assembly of God, 512 S. 3rd Street Vineland. Efrain will be laid to rest at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Thursday evening from 6pm to 9pm and again on Friday morning from 10am to 11am at the CHURCH. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Memories, thoughts and prayers may be extended to the family by visiting dlfuneral.com.
