Obituary of Leslie L. DiAmore

Please share a memory of Leslie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Leslie (Erwin) DiAmore, 36, a lifelong resident of Millville, passed away at peace at home in the arms of her loving husband on November 23, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Leslie was born on August 20, 1980 in Vineland NJ. She was a 1998 graduate of Millville High School and earned a Bachelor of Communications degree from Richard Stockton College in 2007. She was employed as a Teacher's Aide at the Geraldine O. Foster Early Childhood Center in Bridgeton NJ. Leslie was a bright light to everyone she met. She lived her life so full of joy and happiness that she was a blessing to those around her. Her willingness to talk to anyone she'd meet would put a smile on everyone's face, and her laughter would ring through the room anywhere she was. She had so much love for her family, and her close friends were truly as dear to her as sisters and brothers. Leslie always found the good in everyone she met and never held back from saying what was on her mind. She was an honest and loyal soul with a heart big enough for everyone. Leslie was an avid fan of country music, particularly the music of Reba McIntyre. In her earlier years Leslie aspired to work in the music industry and became involved in the country music industry in Nashville, a local Country DJ in the Philadelphia and Atlantic City markets, and also earned a position in A&R at Motown Records in NYC. She had a great deal of success early on, but ultimately her true love became life with her family and she sought a simpler life that allowed her to spend as much time as she could with her husband and eventually her son. She later found her calling teaching preschool aged children. She dearly loved the children in her classrooms at work and aspired to one day become a teacher with a classroom of her own. Leslie also enjoyed traveling every chance she could with her husband and friends and made some of her most favorite trips to Mexico, Italy, the Dominican Republic as well as the fun of Disney World. She also enjoyed trying new cuisine any chance she could in the company of her family and friends. Those who knew and loved her felt her friendship to be a privilege and a blessing and she will be dearly missed. Her beauty and delight for this world left us far too soon. Every night before bed she told her little boy that she loved him more than the whole world and those she loved the most felt the same way about her. The hole left in her passing is deep, but it is far overshadowed by the abundance of love and joy that she brought to all those around her while we had the pleasure of her company. Leslie is survived by her husband of eight years; David DiAmore; son Matthew DiAmore; mother, Valerie Erwin (Pat Erickson); father, Tim Erwin (Kim); step-sisters Alison Bittle (Thomas Deckman), Amanda Shaw (Steve), Amy Brogan (Heather), Jamie Morey (Tom); sisters-in-law Christi Serra (Dustin) and Danielle Peterson (Torrey); in-laws Sam and Marie DiAmore, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. A remembrance and celebration of Leslie's life will be held at 11 am on Friday December 2, 2016 at the Malaga Assembly of God, 377 Old Dutch Mill Rd, Malaga, NJ 08328. Friends and family will be received at 10am prior to the service. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
