Obituary of James A. Ketcham

James A. Ketcham, Sr. 82 of Vineland, New Jersey passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 at home with his family by his side. He was an avid Yankees and Giants fan and enjoyed bowling and walking, but golf was his passion. James was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his family. He served in the US Navy on the Battleship Missouri during the Korean War. He retired after 35 years of service with Public Service Electric and Gas. He held the position as Electrical Supervisor for many years and before his retirement, held a position in Industrial Relations. James is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Isabelle (Terroni) Ketcham. A daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Michael Mettetal; a son, Daniel Ketcham; a son and daughter-in-law, James Ketcham, Jr. and Jennifer; 5 grandchildren, Cynthia, David, John, Cristina and James III; 1 great granddaughter Izabella; and a sister Alice Schoener; and sister-in-law, Lillian Ketcham. He was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Rose; and brothers John, Harry, Frank, Robert and Richard. A Church visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 9am to 10:45am followed by a funeral liturgy at 11am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Isidore the Farmer Church, 1655 Magnolia Road Vineland, NJ. James will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. In lieu of flowers for those who wish memorial contributions can be made to the Cumberland County SPCA, 1244 N.
