Obituary of Jennie Krawchuk

Please share a memory of Jennie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With great sadness and sorrow, we announce that our beloved Mother, Jennie Krawchuk, has passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 31. Jennie was born on July 27, 1929 and lived to be 87. She was born in New York City, grew up on Long Island, NY, and later moved to Milmay after marrying her husband, Andrew in 1951. She left behind a glamorous city life to settle down and work the family chicken farm. Jennie attended college in Oneonta, NY and wanted to be a school teacher. In her life, Jennie was many things; a farmer, a pickle packer, a Girl Scout leader, a volunteer for Evanoff ARC, A Company of Angels, and Holy Redeemer Hospice, and caretaker to some neighbors in their time of need, but most important of all her jobs was that of wife and mother. With her loving Husband of 49 years, Andrew, she loved and lived her life caring for her three children and created many adventures exploring South Jersey and anywhere she could. She loved the Pines and could find beauty in nature. A simple pine cone from a grandchild would bring her joy. She loved gardening, was a great cook, loved sewing and embroidery when her girls were doing Ukrainian dancing with Zoria Ukrainian Dancers. She was a gentle soul, a kind person, a funny lady, and always happy. She was loved by her children and their friends. Jennie was a good mother to her three children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as others who called her Mom. She is predeceased by her husband, Andrew Krawchuk, her daughter, Andrea Posner, parents, George and Mary Budkewicz, and sister, Olga Artemchuk. She is survived by her son, Jon Krawchuk and daughter-in-law, Donna and her son Robert Westergaard III; her daughter, Patricia Abate, former son-in-laws, Jim Abate and David Posner; her loving grandchildren, Matthew Posner and wife Dawn, Tracey Posner, Amy Abate, and Adam Abate; great-grandchildren, Andrea Posner and Alyssa Posner. She will be sadly missed by many. Family and friends will be received on Friday, Feb. 3rd from 9am-10:30am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11am at St. Padre Pio Parish, Our Lady of Pompeii Church 4680 Dante Ave., Vineland. Jennie will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Pompeii Cemetery. Memories, thoughts and prayers may be extended to the family by visiting dlfuneral.com.
