Obituary of Maria Virginia Fontanez

Maria Virginia Fontañez, 74 of Vineland went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Maria, also known as "Virginia" was an amazing, strong, caring woman who impacted many lives. She cared for many and was loved by all. She was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico and moved to Vineland where she lived for 50 years and gave birth to six children. She worked as a seamstress at DeRossi Clothing Company until she retired. During her retirement, she worked as a Grandmother Aide at the Tri-County Headstart. She enjoyed crabbing, fishing, cooking, dancing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children; Albert, Edwin, Alfred, Nancy, Janet, and her deceased son and grandchild, Johnny and Nixza Fontañez, her grandchildren; Nicholis, Roberto, Eric, Idi, Orlando, Denisa, Jazmin, Sabrina, Sebastian, Sean, Nelson and many great grandchildren. "You left me beautiful memories, your love is still in my guide, and though we can not see you, I know you'll always be by my side." Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:30am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Maria will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
