Mihail M. Kaganzev, Sr., passed away suddenly at home on Monday, March 20, 2017. Born on October 1, 1930 in Russia to Mihail and Pelagia (Jakabova) Kaganzev. He came to the U.S.A. on the U.S.A.T. General Ballou on November 30, 1949. After settling in Vineland, NJ, he married his wife of 62 years, Frances (Mohan) Kaganzev. Mihail was employed with Cresci Body Shop where he was a welder for 20 years. He later worked for Manischewitz as a maintenance mechanic until his retirement. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time at home, raising animals and gardening. Mihail also enjoyed spending his spare time at McDonald's drinking diet coke and talking to the regulars. He loved going to church, helping people, crabbing, taking trips to Lancaster, Pa. and Niagara Falls and day trips with his wife. He is predeceased by his parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Mihail is survived by his wife, Frances; sons, Michael, Jr., and Alex Kaganzev; daughter, Tina (Bill) Willard; 3 brothers, 1 sister, 6 grandchildren and their spouses and 12 great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on Monday at 10am at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 2211 W. Landis Ave., Vineland. Mihail will be laid to rest at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Panikhida service will be held on Sunday at 5:30pm followed by a viewing from 6pm to 8pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland and again on Monday morning from 9am to 10am at the CHURCH. Donations may be sent to Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Valley Chapter 399 Market St., Suite 102 Philadelphia, Pa., 19106.
