Obituary of Sofia Heredia

Sofia Heredia, 89, the matriarch of the Heredia family went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 20, 2017. She was the widow of the late Vicente Heredia. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Tomasa Roman and Emiliano Flores. She was a member of "Iglesia Faro Ardiente Shalom" for 42 years. She enjoyed reading the Bible, gardening, cooking, playing bingo, and word find puzzles. Most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She will be remembered for her famous hugs, kisses, prayers, and words of encouragement. Sofia is survived by her daughters, Luz (Samuel) Lebron, Miriam (Jose) Lebron, Minerva (Epifano) Lopez, Janet (Carlos) Berrios; her sons, Pedro (Maribel) Heredia, Abraham (Awilda) Heredia, and Ozzie (Lillian) Heredia; 37 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sons, Jose Luis, Jose Ramon, and Vicente Heredia. The love she shared with so many will be greatly missed but we rejoice that she eternally lives with the Lord. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 12noon at Higher Places Ministries 40 W. Landis Ave Vineland, NJ 08360. Sofia will be laid to rest at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday evening from 6pm to 10pm and again on Wednesday morning from 10am to 12noon at Higher Places Ministries.
