Lucia “Lucy” Barbara Soltysiak passed away on July 27, 2017 in Sarasota, FL
after an extended illness.


Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1956, she was the first of 3 siblings. In 1966 she
moved to Newfield, NJ were she attended St Rose of Lima, Our Lady of Mercy
Academy and graduated from Delsea Regional in 1974. Lucy went to on work
in 1980 at Vineland Developmental Center where she worked for over 25
years, retiring in 2009.


Lucy enjoyed her cats, painting, taking trips to the Cape May ferry, Wheaton
Village, making arts and crafts and playing games on the computer. She was
a loving mother, aunt and friend.


She is predeceased by her mother Anna Soltysiak, father Edward Soltysiak
and brother Richard Soltysiak.


Lucy leaves behind a Son, Nelson Soltysiak and his wife Martine Soltysiak; a
sister, Diane Gaughan and her husband Dennis Gaughan; a nephew, Richard
Super and his wife Stefanie; niece, Sarina Gaughan; 2 great nieces and a
great nephew. She is also survived by uncles, aunts and cousins in Germany
and many other extended family members and friends.


Relatives and friends may gather on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 1pm
to 3pm with a funeral service at 2:30pm at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home
2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
