Obituary of Silvana Maldonado

Silvana Maldonado, age 87 of Vineland, NJ passed away Saturday morning September 30, 2017 surrounded by her family at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. She was born in Naguabo, PR to the late Demetrio Maldonado and Sandalia Delgado. She was a lifelong resident of Vineland, NJ and was married to her loving husband of 46 years, Bernardo Rodriguez. She had 11 sisters and two brothers. She was a loving and caring mother to 13 children, Olga Parrilla, Hilda Parrilla, the late Ruth Walker, Juan Walker, the late Jimmy Walker, the late Robert Walker, Luz Ortiz, Luis A. Walker, Angel L. Walker, Marvin Walker, Ivonne Walker, Evelyn Walker, and Jose Parrilla; 48 grandchildren, lots of great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, going to the casinos, word find puzzles, TV Novelas, her pet dog Palomo, and spending time with her family. She was loved by everyone. People loved her cooking and her coffee. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 11am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, NJ. Silvana will be laid to rest at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8pm and again on Thursday morning from 10am to 11am at the funeral home.
