Obituary of Arlene Perez

Arlene Perez of Vineland, NJ was born on December 25, 1955, has taken flight ahead of us to be with our Family of Souls on December 24, 2017, one day shy of her 62nd birthday, on Christmas day. Arlene is survived by her daughter, Hanais Montero (Charles Amos Camper, Sr.); precious grandchild, Charles Amos Camper, Jr; son, Jesus Javier Montero and beloved partner, Jesus Montero; sisters, Mary Rosario, Annette Perez, and D. Maritza Perez, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Ismael Perez; mother, Justina Perez; brothers, Ismael Jr., and Richard Perez; grandmother, Leonor Lugo; uncle, Angel Luis Miranda and many other relatives. In her youth, she was involved in cheerleading, softball, tennis, and roller skating. She was exceptional in academics and excelled in Mathematics. She had so many hobbies such as cake decorating, ceramics, and karate. She had a colorful career history including a position as a car mechanic, bank teller, and in her later years, proud member of Carpentry Union Local 121(now local 255) which required being involved in many building projects, one most notably, Route 55 Highway in Southern NJ. She was a passionate Community Volunteer and was involved with such groups as P.A.L. and Boys and Girls Club. Arlene was always there to help her family, friends and her community with vast knowledge, compassion and directing youth to a brighter future and life's possibilities. She will be sadly missed by all of us. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the tribute and memorial service hosted by the Vineland P.A.L., on Saturday, February 24, 2018 in the boxing gymnasium, 20 South 6th Street, Vineland from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Floral donations are accepted. Monetary donations can be made in her honor to the family. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
