Richard Cruz passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021, suddenly and unexpectedly. Rich was born on October 7, 1978 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico. He successfully completed cosmetology school and took pride in his work as a barber as well as his passion to restore cars through detailing to make them new. An enthusiastic sneakerhead, he valued his style and worked hard for everything he earned. He was authentic and unapologetically himself to anyone he encountered. He lived like it was his last day, everyday and went by the way of laughter through all things. He had the body of a Greek God, and somehow learned how to alter any song's lyrics to say, "yo me llamo Richard"-a talent unlike any other. He laughed hard, loved harder, and was dependable in the way that his friendships became a family he created. He was sure of a few things in life and made them known. He adored his children and was motivated by ensuring their success. Richard is survived by his children, Bree Ann and Richard as well as his grandchildren, Isla and Grey. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings, Lisette, Alfred, Luis Jr, and his nieces, Ashley and Alexandria. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 6pm to 7pm, with funeral services at 7pm at Higher Places Ministries, 40 W. Landis Ave., Vineland and again on Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 9am to 11am at the church. A committal service and burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
