Catherine Theresa Biddinger (McCahill) age 100, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 21, 2025. She was born in Yonkers, N.Y. on October 27, 1924, where she lived, went to school and met and married her husband of 73 years Charles Allen Biddinger, Jr. She was the daughter of Charles Edward McCahill and Catherine Convery from Paisley, Scotland and their first child born after they emigrated to the United States after World War I. She married her husband Charles on December 10, 1944 and moved to San Diego, California where he was stationed with the US Navy. While they were in California, she gave birth to her eldest son Andrew Allen Biddinger in 1946. After the war they drove across the country and returned to Yonkers, NY where in 1950 she gave birth to her youngest son Gregory Reed Biddinger. In 1953 Cathy, Charles and their two sons moved to Vineland, NJ, where she lived and thrived for the remainder of her life

Throughout her life, Cathy was the heart and soul of her family and the guiding force that made everything run smoothly. She was a true caretaker who always had room in her home for her sisters, aunt and her father when they needed her special healing touch. Outside the home she was active in the community as volunteer as a Den mother and with the rectory at St. Isadore's Parish church. Over the years she also worked as a server at Pat's Dinner and at Chynoweth's Hometown Bakery in South Vineland. One of her great personal pleasures was bowling, and she was very good at it, winning numerous trophies. Although she never had bowled 300, she came close a few times.

Cathy's greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren Megan Biddinger and her husband Edward Cavanaugh, Erin Forster and her husband Jonathan Forster and Michael Biddinger and her great grandchildren, including Megan's daughters, Stella and Mary Charles Cavanaugh and Erin's daughters Maddie DeLong and Andie Forster. She also was devoted to her youngest sister Carole Holobinko of Middleburg Heights, Ohio.

Cathy is survived by her two sons and their families, Andrew and his wife Joanne (Wade) Biddinger of Vineland and children Megan, Erin, Michael and Gregory Biddinger and his wife Lise Leigh of Belfast, Maine. As well, her youngest sister Carole Holobinko and her husband Don and their children Dawn Miller and Dana Schrader and their families. She also leaves behind 8 nieces, 4 nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her mother Catherine and father Charles, husband, Charles; brother, Andrew McCahill and sisters Anne Rogers, Margie Poljack, Jacquie Pritchard and her grandson Christopher Biddinger.
