Obituary of Cathy J. Shawlot

Cathy (Johnson) Shawlot, 82, formerly of Landisville, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025 after a brief illness. Born in Camden, New Jersey, Cathy spent most of her life in Landisville before recently moving to Millville.

Prior to her retirement, she worked for the Vineland Developmental Center where she shared her love with her clients, treating them with kindness and compassion. She loved her friends deeply, often spending time at the movies, going to plays at The Walnut Street Theater and enjoying a good meal with even better company. Her love for her grandchildren was immeasurable and truly her greatest joy, building the best blanket forts and losing at every single game of Candyland. Her strength was unwavering and her kindness overflowing, even in her final days. She had a kind word and a compliment, no matter how small, for every person who she came in contact with. She was selfless in every sense of the word.

Predeceased by the love of her life since the age of 13, William, in 1997, she is survived by her son William, daughters; Cathy (Robert) Ingraham, Connie (Bill) Balis and Cristy (Brian) Lopergolo. Loved beyond measure by her grandchildren, Robert, Morgan, Yiannis, Angelina and Dominic and her fur grandbabies Winston, Zeus, Lola and Lucy. She is also survived by her brothers; Les (Linda) Johnson and Joseph Dubell.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 4:00 until 6:00pm, followed by funeral services at 6:00pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ 08361. Burial will be private.
