Obituary of Daniel Joseph Marandino

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Joseph Marandino, who left us peacefully on February 19, 2025, at the age of 80.

Born on April 11, 1944, in Vineland, NJ, Daniel lived a remarkable life that touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. Daniel was the son of Marietta (Guida) Hess and Carmen Marandino, both of whom preceded him in death, along with his sister Marion (Marandino) Lowers and his brother James Marandino.

His family was his foundation, and he cherished the bonds he created throughout his life, which will continue through those he leaves behind. Daniel is survived by his wife, Deborah Marandino, who was a true partner and companion throughout their life together. He is also survived by his brothers, Charles Marandino (Geraldine) and Jack Marandino, along with his sister, Rosemarie Tell. A proud father, Daniel's legacy lives on through his three daughters: Dawn Castrataro (Joseph), Suzanne Lang, and Lisa Hazeldine, as well as his stepdaughter, Christina Ritthaler. He was a grandfather to ten grandchildren: Sheila McGough (Scott), Daniel DiNiglio, Ricky Moats, Kailey Moats, Sara Hazeldine, Rebecca Hazeldine, Edward Hazeldine, Nicholas Perez, Christian Perez, and Eric Perez. Additionally, Daniel was blessed with five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews who will forever remember his unique personality.

Throughout his life, Daniel was a man of incredible work ethic and dedication. He began his career as a concrete foreman and owned his own company. Even after retirement, his commitment to service continued as he drove a school bus for the Delsea Regional School District, where he drove for special needs children. His passion for his work was evident in everything he did, and he instilled the values of hard work and compassion in his family. Daniel was a proud member of the Cement Masons Union Local 592, where he was a member for many years.

A celebration of Daniel's life hosted by his daughters will take place on Friday February 28, 2025, from 3:00pm to 4:30pm, followed by a service from 4:30pm to 5:00pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ. Burial is private.

Family and friends are invited to come together to honor and remember a man who touched so many lives. Daniel Joseph Marandino was a loving husband, father and grandparent. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
