Obituary of Hector Manuel Reyes

Hector "Cano" Manuel Reyes, 66, passed away on Monday February 17, 2025 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland.

Hector was born and raised in Caguas, Puerto Rico to his loving mother Andrea Trinidad on October 20, 1958. Much like his family, Cano enjoyed his alone time, but savored every moment spent with his loved ones.

Outside of his admiration for his family, Hector dedicated his life to his work. He devoted 30 years of his life to Trump Plaza as an employee, only leaving after the company closed. Hector was an incredibly generous being often putting others before himself. His uplifting spirit was contagious and he had the ability to find joy in everyday life. He treasured music and had an intense passion for antique cars. Cano often explored car shows and found joy in riding his motorcycle when he had time away from work.

Though simple, his family knew how joyous he became over his lifelong hobbies. Hector was adored by many and will continue to live on in our hearts forever. He was a warm and friendly spirit to all that knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, Judith Reyes; his granddaughter, Isabella; his brother Angel Reyes; his nieces and nephews; his stepchildren, Sarai and Angel; and his close friend, Maria Cheverez.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Antonio Reyes and Wilfredo Reyes and his nephew, Antonio "Puti" Reyes.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday February 27, 2025 from 10:00am until 11:00am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery, 550 N. Valley Ave. Vineland.
