
Obituary of Carmen M. Galzerano
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carmen Margarita Galzerano, 90, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who passed away peacefully on her birthday March 3,2025, at home.
Carmen was born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico and came to the United States as a young woman in her late teens, settling in Vineland, New Jersey, where she would spend the rest of her life.
Carmen was the beloved daughter of Felix Rodriguez and Marcolina Rodriguez. She was predeceased by her ex-husband, Alexander Galzerano; her long-time companion, Jose Torres; and her cherished granddaughters, Audrey Laimo and Gabrielle Laimo.
Carmen's love for life and warmth to those around her knew no bounds. She was known for her deep love of cooking, often gathering family and friends around her table, where she delighted in serving them with her delicious meals. Her home was a haven of laughter, joy, and comfort, and she cherished the time spent in her garden, nurturing both her plants and her loved ones.
A dedicated and devoted mother, Carmen lovingly raised her daughters, Carmen Rose Rodriguez, Lisa Grace Laimo, and Rebecca Schader. Her seven grandchildren, Melinda Rodriguez, Alexander Rodriguez, Meghan Schader, Franco Laimo, Anthony Rodriguez, Danielle Schader, and Michael McGaugh; along with her seven great-grandchildren, Jaime Brooke Perez, Edward Perez Jr., Jaylen Cabrera, Jalexis Rodriguez, Tyler Karis, Aiyanna Rodriguez, and Justin Mathews Jr., were the light of her life. She not only raised her own children, but opened her heart to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and their friends, all of whom adored her.
Her infectious laughter, bright spirit, and unwavering kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a true light in this world, radiating warmth and positivity. Carmen's legacy will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, who will carry her memory with them always.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Carmen's life on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 10:00am until 11:30am followed by a funeral service at 11:30am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 South Lincoln Avenue, Vineland, NJ. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Vineland.
