




Obituary of Ramon A. Irizarry Baez
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ramon Alberto Irizarry Baez on April 5, 2025 due to medical conditions. Berto was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico on October 10, 1959.
Berto was retired and loved volunteering for the community. He was an active member of The Elegidos Jeep Club. "El Elegido Mayor". He was one of the radio hosts of El Programa La Verdad for 20 years at WMIZ 1270 AM. He was a former member of Vineland Suzuki Club, The Puerto Rican Festival of Vineland NJ, President of Boricuas Unidos Suzuki Club, Hermandad Latina, Delegate of The State of NJ Puerto Rican Festival, Latin Music Festival, Tainos Jeep Club LLC and Latin American Festival.
Berto enjoyed Jeep Riding. He enjoyed community events, festivals, parties and loved to dance. He was sarcastic and had a funny sense of humor. He had a feisty humorous spirit! He was outgoing, caring and very honest. He loved cooking and spoiling his grandchildren.
His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends.
Berto is survived by the love of his life, his loving life partner of 27 years and friend, Maribel Rodriguez. His brother and sisters Felo, Sarita, Ivette and Ada Irizarry. His children Christian, Alberto (wife Mircyend) and grandchildren Elmer, Emanuel, Yariel and Yazhier and 2 great grandchildren. His stepchildren Alex (wife Maria Mercado), Diamaris Rios and Mario Cruz, Marylin (husband Richard Doyle), Anibal Santiago II and Lisangeli Cruz and step grandchildren Sucelly, Noel and Aracelly Mercado, Arcangel and Zerachiel Cruz, Tatyana, Gulyana and King Doyle and Adriyel Santiago. He is predeceased by his mother, Sara Baez, father, Ramon Irizarry, sisters Maria Elena and Luty Irizarry and his daughter, Emylitza Irizarry.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 11th from 10:00am to 11:00am followed by a funeral service at 11:00am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 741 E. Walnut Rd. Vineland, NJ.
