Hortencia "Chenchi" Santiago was born on July 4th, 1932 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She went to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, September 4th, 2023 at the age of 91.

She is survived by her six children, Gena Bateman Santiago, Miriam Moris Santiago, Myrna Licardi Santiago, Olga Rodriguez Santiago, Jose Vincente Santiago, and Clara Viera Santiago.

Hortencia was married to her now deceased husband, Justo "El Don" Santiago, who went to be with The Lord on May 5th, 2019, awaiting to be reunited with his wife of over 60 years.

She is survived by nine beautiful grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Hortencia lived and raised her six children in New York City, before moving to Vineland in 1976. She worked for Arian Fashions, and following retirement, she volunteered as a foster grandparent for the Vineland State School. Hortencia was a servant of The Lord, a member of Centro Evangelistico for many years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending barbecues, and traveling whenever possible, especially with her children.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, September 11, 2023 from 10am to 11am followed by funeral services at 11am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
