Obituary of Edward M. LaRosa

Edward M. "Goober" (Atkinson) LaRosa, 67. Born on November 13,1955. The eldest of 10 siblings. Edward passed suddenly in his sleep on Monday, September 25, 2023, at the New Standard Senior Living Center in Millville.

Goober was a lifelong resident of South Jersey. A mason and electrician by trade, started as a teenager working for LaRosa Construction Co. and through the years worked with other construction contractors. A jack of all trades, he had a good sense of humor and was laid back in nature and intelligent minded. He enjoyed cooking, outings, fishing, playing cards, music, family gatherings and especially being with his close friends.

He is predeceased by his significant other, Elizabeth "Liz" (Lesins) Kemp, father, Edward R. Atkinson; mother, Sharon L. LaRosa; stepfather, Frank LaRosa and brother, Mark J. LaRosa.

He is survived by two beloved sons, Edward LaRosa and Michael LaRosa; sisters, Audrey Blank (John), Linda Caregnato, Lisa Miller, Nina Fox, Terri Cossaboon and brother, Cory Cossaboon. His extended family, Andrew Atkinson and Amy (Atkinson) Ronketty; aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Family and friends will be received Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 1pm-6pm at the Cranberry Run Community Center, 432 County Lane, Buena, NJ 08310. There will be a memorial service held between 2pm-3pm followed by a celebration of his life. For any questions and information please contact (856) 326-8292 ask for Linda. Any monetary donations can be made towards his two sons, Edward and Michael LaRosa. The family expresses with deepest and most gracious gratitude to all.
