Helen Catherine (Pavelka) Barsuglia, age 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8, surrounded by her family. Helen was born on December 4, 1925 in New York City. She was the daughter of the late Anna (Gottlieb) Pavelka and Steven Pavelka. She attended Willow Grove School and was a 1943 graduate of Vineland High School. She married the late Robert Barsuglia on December 4, 1943. Helen's first job was working in the office at Automotive Parts. She also worked for Standard Publishing, and for many years as a payroll secretary for Bellco Glass. Helen was an active member of the North Italy Women's Auxiliary for many years. Helen enjoyed her role as homemaker and mother of three sons. Spending time with her granddaughters and great granddaughter brought her much pleasure. She spent much time crocheting, doing crossword puzzles and was very supportive of her sons' sports activities. She traveled extensively with her husband Robert, usually to the USS Hancock Reunions. Helen is survived by her three sons, James Richard (Judy), John Robert, and Richard Charles (Carol); two granddaughters, Jennifer and Janet and one great granddaughter, Emmalynn. Services and burial will be private for family and close friends on Friday, May 13. Helen will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery, Union Road in East Vineland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Helen's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Road Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
