John Richard Davis died peacefully in Vineland, New Jersey on October 17, 2018 at the age of 76.

John is survived by his children, John Christopher, Anthony Edward and Rose Marie; brother, Thomas and sister, Marie McClure.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Amanda (Tasso) Davis and a brother, James Davis.

John was born on May 12, 1942 in Landis Township, ”Vineland” New Jersey to Edward and Mary Anne Davis. He is a United States Army Veteran and was employed by the Vineland Developmental Center for over 40 years.

His children remember him a driven father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. John loved travelling and cooking. He was a life member of and past Grand Knight of the 3rd Degree Council 2531 of Sacred Heart Church and past District Deputy and past Faithful Navigator and member of the Color Corp of the 4th Degree Bishop John Carroll Assembly 654.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 9:30am to 11:15am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 1010 E Landis Ave., Vineland, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11:30am. John will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society, Team SOHA. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
