Ana Luz Roman Hernandez, 74 of Vineland, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the SJ Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, she came to the United States in 1970.
Ana was a homemaker and enjoyed going fishing with her sister, cooking, gardening, and shopping. Most of all she enjoyed helping others and being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, Juan and Ana (Arroyo) Torres and a brother, Juan Torres.
She is survived by:
6 sons: Hector Medina & wife Isaura of Vineland
Eddie Roman & wife Bruni of Vineland
Jose "Chely" Torres & wife Saira of Vineland
Miguel Roman & wife Judy of Texas
Juan "Bertito" Roman of Texas
Federico "Gico" Torres & wife Daly of Vineland
1 daughter: Millie Roman of Vineland
11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren
1 brother: Jose "Tony" Torres of Vineland
5 sisters: Aracelis Gonzalez, Angelita Reyes both of Vineland
Lydia Bermudez of Cedarville
Elizabeth Rodriguez of Delaware
Aurea Torres Arroyo of Puerto Rico
Her best friends: Maria Gonzalez, Virginia Chanza and Gladys Vera
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30am at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends will be received on Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8pm and again on Thursday morning from 9am to 10:30am at the funeral home.
