Obituary of John G. Pearson

John G. Pearson Sr., died peacefully surrounded by his family on January 15, 2019. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Elizabeth and Robert Pearson, as well as his sister, Audrey (Pearson) Manish and her husband, Greg and great granddaughter, Lucianna. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sophie Pearson. He is sadly missed by his children, John Pearson Jr. and wife Patricia and Christine Cacchioli and husband John. He is also greatly missed by his grandchildren, Alicia Pearson, John Pearson III, Isabella Cacchioli, Cassandra Cacchioli, Ashley and husband Michael Starn; great-grandchildren, Bella-Marie Pearson, Addilynn Cacchioli, Carlina Starn and Joshua Torres, as well as many nieces and nephews. He had proudly served in the United States Army. John was a dedicated employee of Airworks Corp., at the Millville Airport, for 39 years. He was an Exempt Volunteer Firefighter for the South Vineland Fire Co. #2 and served for 27 years rising to the rank of Captain and Training Officer. He often fondly spoke of his brother firefighters and the good times they had together. He devoted his life to his family and serving his community. He was a very active member of his church and was instrumental in the merger of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and Trinity Episcopal Church to the Church of the Resurrection. He enjoyed fishing, especially largemouth bass fishing with his wife! He loved woodworking in his woodshop making his birdhouses, wind vanes and mailboxes. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 4pm to 6pm at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland and again on Monday morning from 10am to 11am at Trinity Episcopal Church, 800 E. Wood St., Vineland, followed by a funeral service at 11am. John will be laid to rest at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
