Domingo "Papa" Rivera, 83, of Buena NJ, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 13th 2019. Born and raised in Utuado, Puerto Rico, he enlisted in the Air Force in 1960. After 8 years of faithful and dedicated service, including tours in Alaska and Vietnam, he moved to Vineland, NJ and began his journey as a businessman and entrepreneur. Papa enjoyed many things in life including music, boxing, tinkering around the yard and above all, his family. A devoted husband and father, he spent most of his time entertaining family and friends as the proverbial "life of the party". In his latter years, he found himself entertaining and enjoying time with his most prized possessions, his 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Papa is dearly missed by his loving family including his wife Alicia; daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Luis; sons, Jorge, Robert, Rodney and daughter-in-law Sheila, and Gabriel as well as his brother, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins. Papa's services will take place at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave in Vineland, NJ on Thursday, July 18th where family and friends will be received from 6pm until 9pm. Military honors will be performed by the U.S. Air Force Drill and Ceremony team at 7:30pm sharp.
