Dimitrios Athans March 7, 1956 - August, 7 2019 Dimitrios "Jim" Athans, 63, of Swedesboro passed away on Wednesday, August, 7 2019. He was born in Trikala, Greece to the late George Athanasiadis and Eleni Athanasiadis, currently of Hammonton NJ. He is a graduate of Hammonton High School and Stockton State College. Jim is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ida Athans; daughter, Elaina Athans of Raleigh, North Carolina; son, Dimitri Athans (Caitlin) and granddaughter, Mila of Cumming, Georgia; son, Giorgio Athans (Candice) of Washington Township; brother, Elias and his wife Chrisoula Athans of Vineland; nephews, George (Cristal), Athanasios (Eshwary) and Vasilios Athans; aunts, uncles, and his loyal puppy Cooper. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 9:30am to 10:30 am on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church, 430 W. Wheat Road in Vineland. A funeral service will follow at 10:30am at the church. Dimitrios will be laid to rest at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests a donation to St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
