Pedro Luis Cruz, Sr., 53 went to be with the Lord on June 10, 2020 after an extended illness at the Inspira Medical Center, Vineland, NJ. He was born in Villalba, PR on September 5, 1966 to the late Hilda R. Huertas and Genaro Cruz. He was a long time resident of Vineland, NJ and graduated from Arthur P. Schalick High School in 1987.
Pedro was employed by Comar Glass Company in Buena, NJ.
Surviving are his wife, Iris Cruz; two sons, Teodoro L. Diaz and Pedro L. Cruz, Jr and his wife, Jill Brittingham; nine grandchildren, Alexandria Cruz, Jazlynn Cruz, Pedro L. Cruz, III, Angel L Cruz, Ne'Veah Diaz, Tatianna Diaz, Kayla Opher, Amia Opher, and Jada Opher; five siblings, Edwin Cruz, Teresa Cruz, Wilfredo Cruz, Moses Cruz and Alicia Rodriguez.
Pedro had many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He will be missed by all.
Pedro was a very sensible person. He enjoyed sports, dancing, listening to music and shopping. His passion was coaching the youth in baseball and football. He coached at Vineland Baseball Little League and Vineland Football League. He was to many kids a positive role model. He also enjoyed family time.
Funeral services and burial will be private for the family. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
