Isabel "Chava" Gonzalez 82, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020. Heaven gained an angel.
Born on July 2, 1937 in Lares, Puerto Rico to the late Andres and Santa Gonzalez. Isabel came to Vineland in 1967. Born with special needs, she lived with her parents until their deaths. She then went
to live with her sister, Blanca Cortes. For the past eight years she was a resident of Bishop McCarthy Residence.
Chava was full of joy, laughing and making faces all day. She enjoyed spending time with her family, specially birthdays and holidays. She loved to get presents, especially baby dolls. She enjoyed watching Spanish television, cartoons and her salsa music.
She will be missed by her sisters, Blanca Cortes, Maria Cordero, Angelica Bermudez, Luz Aponte and her brothers, Angel L. Gonzalez and Eloy Gonzalez. She held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Andres and Santa Gonzalez and brother, Roberto Gonzalez.
Funeral services and burial will be private. Arrangements are by DeMarco and Luisi Funeral Home.
