Obituary of Carmen D. Taylor

Please share a memory of Carmen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Carmen Denise Taylor, our most precious jewel, departed this life on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Carmen was born January 11, 1981 to the late Janice Denise Gordon-Taylor and Glenwood Taylor, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Carmen attended elementary schools in Pompano Beach, Florida. When Carmen was 12 years old, she moved to Bridgeton, NJ, and attended Bridgeton Public Schools. Carmen also attended Culinary Arts through the Job Corp Program. After that Carmen trained and obtained her CDL License with CJ Bus Company out of Pittsgrove Township, NJ. Carmen enjoyed driving and taking the students to school. All of you that knew Carmen, know that she was a "people person" and one that spoke her mind. Next, Carmen was a "self-made" DJ, her signature title was called "DJ Colors." And we all know, Carmen loved all colors and styles when it came to her hair. Last, but certainly not least, Carmen loved her pets, which were "her children", 3 dogs: Shaw, Star, Zoey and her cat: Ruby. Carmen attended Redeeming Life Full Gospel Ministry, under the leadership of Morris Rhodes, Jr., Pastor. Carmen leaves to cherish her precious memories: her father, Glenwood Taylor, her fiancé, Kyle King of Bridgeton, NJ; one brother, Sebastian "Dion" Lewis and his wife Yomaira of Pennsauken, NJ; one sister, Latisha Roberts and her husband Michael of Egg Harbor City, NJ; 4 uncles, Curtis, Dwight and Sam Gordon of Pompano Beach, Florida, Willie Taylor and his wife Roni of Roselle, NJ; a very special niece, Shatera Rivers aka TT; dear friends, Sakia Johnson, Aunt Rhonda, Ms. Strawberry and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Carmen was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Betty and Henry Gordon and paternal grandparents, Dollie Mae and Harold Taylor. Carmen will truly be missed by family, friends and all who knew her. Family and friends will be received on Saturday August 1, 2020 from 10AM to 11AM followed by a funeral service at 11AM at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. NJ.
