Irisvelio Roman, 76, of Vineland died Saturday, January 5th at his home. Irisvelio was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico. He was the son of the late Josefina Reboyras and Inocencio Roman. He retired as a Machinist at Wheaton Glass Company and worked as a school crossing guard for the past 11 years. Irisvelio enjoyed politics and was very involved in many civic organizations in Vineland. He served as a committee member of the Vineland Housing Authority and the Puerto Rican Social Club. He also enjoyed being a member of the Holy Name Society at Divine Mercy Parish in Vineland. Irisvelio was a hard-working devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Eddie and wife Jackie of Vineland, Mervin and wife Sandra of Fresno, California, Carlos A. Roman of Vineland, Alvin Roman and wife Zeida, Lisa Roman of Utuado, Puerto Rico; siblings, Carmen V. Roman of Vineland, Hector Roman of San Juan Puerto Rico, Carlos G. Roman of Vineland, Wilfredo Roman of Ponce, Puerto Rico and Milagros Roman of San Sebastian, Puerto Rico; grandchildren, Eddie, Jasmine Roman and Francis Ulloa of Vineland, Fares Hereter and Alondra Roman of Utuado, Puerto Rico, Kristalyn and Anneliese Roman of Fresno California; along with many nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00a.m. at the Divine Mercy Parish, 23 W. Chestnut Ave., Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m. at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland and again on Thursday morning at the CHURCH from 8:30am-9:45 a.m.
