Mercogliana family and friends,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Catherine's passing and my thoughts and prayers are with you. I worked with Catherine at FEMA's Philadelphia office from 2009-2018 (and also knew her from a prior job I held in Maryland) but unfortunately we had lost touch since moving to Harrisburg PA. She was a dedicated and tenacious member of our team and will miss the conversations we shared about our various furry friends/relatives--she was very compassionate and supportive of me during a "close call" when my beloved rescue cat disappeared for a few days and I was a wreck with worry. I will never forget her kindness and was heartened to read of her journey to Antarctica as I know she had an adventurous sprit and boundless curiosity. I will miss her but am glad she is at peace.
