Former Vineland resident, Mary Carmen Cardona was called by the Lord on January 14, 2013 in Callaway, MD. She was born April 9, 1940 in San Duce, Puerto Rico to John and Sylvia Perez. She was raised in New York and graduated from Cathedral High School in New York, NY. She was married to Angel Cardona Sr. for 52 years and had four children. She served a dental assistant and an employee of Vineland City Hall for twenty years; and served as an active member at Spanish Catholic Center of Vineland, NJ.
Mary is survived by daughter, Nancy A. Edwards(Cardona); two sons, Miguel A. Cardona and Angel M. Cardona Jr.; one brother, John Perez; one sister, Felin Hernandez; grandchildren, Crystal, Philip, Estrella, Pierre; great-grandchildren, Xavier, Destiny, Robert, Desiree, Ximen, Anae, Anaiah; nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives. Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Rose Marie Cardona.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Friends will be received on Friday evening from 6pm to 8pm and again on Saturday morning from 9am to 10am at the funeral home.
