To Maria’s Family Maria and I started working at “the Board” on the same day, June 28,1978. She was so friendly and we hit it off immediately. I remember she was wearing a white suit and heels. What she did not have in height she more than made up for in confidence. She was so self assured. I remember thinking “who is this lady?” I found that she had a real love for life. She was so daring and unafraid! And what a sense of humor! Next to her family the community held a special place in her heart. She often spoke of Janine, Jennifer, JaAnne and John and her grandchildren... she was so proud of them. And she was proud of her sisters and brother as well. I saw her a few times during her illness and she still possessed that same joy and zest for life. She was still making trips though few and far between to the casinos. I know that she loved her LORD and that He loves her! I will miss my “Perezcita!”” Pat Zigler

I am so sorry to hear that this beautiful lady has passed, she did so much for so many. Maria was the light at the end of the tunnel and will be missed by so many. I will miss her beautiful smile, may she rest in eternal rest and sleep. Angel Morales and family.

I was blessed with a wonderful caring mother who made the happiness of her family her main focus in life. Now I have an Angel with wings who is permitted to fly again to Bless, watch over, and guide us in all we do. She was always happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Though we can’t see her physically we know she will always be near. We Love You.

To the Perez family, Maria's strong spirit and fighting for all will be missed however what I will always remember was her highly contagious laughter and smile. Regardless if we agreed on a certain point or not Maria always looked for and found the best in all things. She didn't want you to agree with her always but thru conversation I found common ground. We will miss her as God simply says " Well done".

My beautiful mother my heart is broken. I'm missing you so much, they only thing that gives me peace is knowing that you are free from pain. My little mom was a force to be reckoned with and she had a quick wit. We always shared a laugh when we were together. She was a trooper through her dialysis and was always happy to show me her good reports from the doctors. I'm sad and I'm going to miss her for the rest of my life but inside I know she's at a better party and one day we'll be dancing together again. Rest in Peace mom, you were my everything!
