Obituary of Rocco Trapani

Rocco Trapani Sr., AKA Big Rock, 87, of Landisville and Buena NJ areas, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at home after declining health issues. Rocco was a man who had great strength and courage with fear of no one or anything. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Dorothy (Camp); father to Rocco Jr. of Vineland, Doreen of Galloway, Thomas of Buena and the late Roxanne in heaven. Also proud grandfather to Rocco III, Anthony, Angelo, Dominic and Pasquale all the Vineland; sister, Beatrice (Snyder), Patricia, Debbie and the late Albert (Butch) Luciano as well as aunt, Pat Caruso (Visconti) of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Born to Gaetano and Frances (Visconti-Luciano) in 1933, Rocco served proudly in the National Guard, US Navy (Cuba) and was Sergeant in the Buena Police Department, president and fire fighter for the Landisville Fire Company and a longtime member and pinochle player at the Landisville Social Club. He loves his Harley motorcycle and racing hot rod coupes back in the day. He drove tractor-trailers from Canada to Florida with produce and flowers as well because he could drive anything, even concrete mixers. Most importantly, he will be missed as the strength of the family forever and can finally be with his baby Roxanne in heaven. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 12pm to 1pm, followed by funeral services at 1:00pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave, Vineland. Rocco will be laid to rest at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, 109 NJ-50, Mays Landing, NJ 08330.
